How my story led me here to help you
Leading a nonprofit takes grit and grind—something Memphians know well. I learned that fast as a nonprofit co-founder and CEO. Passion alone wasn’t enough to manage daily operations, board engagement, fundraising, and planning—all while serving young people through life education.
Even with 30+ years of leadership experience, I realized how hard it is to sustain and grow a nonprofit without a clear strategy. And from the first day, one truth stood out: this mission wasn’t mine alone. Our nonprofit belonged to the public. With 501(c)(3) status came the duty to meet real needs, stay compliant, and steward every resource wisely.
After eight years as a founder and a career in nonprofit and corporate leadership, I chose to use what I’ve learned—sometimes the hard way—to help other nonprofit leaders build strong, purpose-driven organizations that last.
